GENERAL PRESENTATION

We are honoured to present our company to you.

A)    Settled up in 1990, COMAN DESIGN was the first private factory in Romania in the field of decorative glassware.

Having now 138 employees, the company addresses up to 90% of its products to the export market, the most important one being the Japanese market.

We also export to USA as well as to France, England, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Lebanon, Kuwait and Israel.

On the romanian market we sell up to 10% of our production, through our own shops.

B)    Given that COMAN DESIGN is specialized in unique items or short serial, everything being hand-made (mouth-blown, hand-painted, hand-carved).

Our actual manufacturing range includes:

i.e.: plates, dishes, wash-hand basins, plaques (70 cm broad) used as wall coverings.

C)   The manufacturing of samples

Our manufacturing range is very flexible and therefore, we can offer a great number of new designs also thanks to the rapidity of execution - we start manufacturing the samples right after the preliminary talks with the client. The samples, regardless of their number and value, will be billed.

D)   Payment condition

D.1.) We work with 100% confirmed irrevocable letter of credit, payable 100% at sight, upon the first presentation of the required documents in Romania, open in favor of COMAN DESIGN, at ?Ion Tiriac? Commercial Bank, Buzau Branch.

Should we agree on using this payment condition, the instructions for opening the letter of credit will be sent separately.

D.2.) We also work with bank transfer as follows: 30% in advance, when an order is placed, and 70% at delivery. The money will be transferred to the COMAN DESIGN account, open at the ?Ion Tiriac? Commercial Bank, Buzau Branch, as shown in the Proforma Invoice.

E)    Transport and delivery terms

The delivery term we generally use is EX WORKS but we can hire an adequate means of transport to deliver the goods where the client requires. Customs duties in Romania, as well as the drawing of the necessary documents are in COMAN DESIGN?s charge.

E.1.) With the Art Nouveau articles (see B2), we use the airplane because the transportation cost/article does not influence to a great extent the final price of the item. In this case the delivery term is FCA Otopeni, the transport from Buzau to the Otopeni Airport being in COMAN DESIGN?s charge.

We can get transport quotations from several companies and let the client choose the one that suits him best.

E.2.) Articles listed at B1, B3, B4, B5, B6, B7 are usually delivered by truck or by container (by sea); given that this kind of items are ordered in big quantities, the volume is bigger and, therefore, the plane is not an adequate means of transport.

Delivery term: EX WORKS.

In this case too, we will try to find the most advantageous transporter with respect to both price and delivery term.

F)    Capacity

F.1.) When it comes to the Art Nouveau articles (see B2), we can export up to 1300 items/month, different sizes.

F.2.) As for the articles listed at B1, B3, B4, B5, B6 and B7 we can manufacture up to 10 000 items/month.

G)   MINIMUM ORDERS

G.1.) There are no minimum orders for the Art Nouveau items (see B2)

G.2.) For the articles listed at B1, B3, B4, B5, B6 and B7 the minimum order is 10 items/type of product.

H)   PACKING

H.1.) Ref.to the Art Nouveau Items (B2) ? each item is packed in expanded polyethylene foil, in an individual corrugated cardboard (pantzer III), then several individual cardboard boxes are put in a final wooden box.

H.2.) Ref.to the items listed at B1 and B3-B7 ? each item is packed in expanded polyethylene foil, then in an individual corrugated cardboard (pantzer III) and several corrugated cardboard boxes are put in a final thicker cardboard box (pantzer V).

I)     THE MEANING OF THE CODES

Each item has a code which gives you an idea about the collection it belongs to as well as of its dimensions. For instance:

CD 6423 ? the items beginning with CD represent Galle-type items (B2) ? the first two figures represent the height and the second two - the wide; these figures are meant to give you an idea about the volume of the article to which they refer.

CDD 5024 I ? these are Daum Nancy-type items (B2) and I represents the decoration (Irises) while the figures have the same significance as mentioned above: the dimensions of the item.

CDS 7035/2 ? these are Schneider-type articles (B2) and /2 stands for the decoration.

CDC 3513 ? these are items with powder and granulates of coloured en masse glass (B1) ( the technical definition is craesel).

CDMD 4525 ? items with metal deposition of silver or brass (B3)

CDF 17060/G ? items made of combinations of wrought iron and glass (B4); /G stands for the colour (green)

CDP 1809 ? items with pigment, platinum, gold, lustre, ice, iridescent glass (B6).

CDT 0240 ? glassware made by thermo formatted process (B7)
